This printer is the truly the workhorse of my office. My employer purchased two of these DFX8000 printers about 15 years ago when we were upgrading our computer system. One of them was assigned to me to print out report after report for engineers, purchasing and our shipping department. This 9-pin impact dot matrix printer has been churning out reports day after day, month after month, year after year. I've only had to have 2 service calls, both to replace springs that had come off from the tractor feed. I use this printer for single part wide paper to 4-ply purchase orders, and it races through everything with it's high speed printing. I truly cannot imagine using anything other than this printer to get me through each day. My boss who received the other DFX8000 printer just had to replace hers and purchased a much smaller model and I hear her complaining each day. If I have to replace mine it will be with the same model. I'm not settling for anything less!!!
