Thomas Jefferson Memorial; Washington Dc By TKDDad on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I did not really hear much about the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. I think the Jefferson Memorial tends to get overlooked, but it is a really nice place.

Thomas Jefferson Memorial is quite a walk away from the Lincoln and Washington Monuments, but if you are up to it, its worth the walk.

I felt the whole memorial was beautiful on the inside. The statue of Thomas Jefferson was elegant. I like the museum underground. There is an elevator to take you downstairs and you can learn more about Thomas Jefferson's life. I learned some things I did not know before. It's worth the stop.

I like the setting of the Memorial. It sits on a hill overlooking the Tidal Basin. It is calm and peaceful and my wife and I enjoyed the beauty of the Cherry Bosoms.

I found this Memorial not nearly as busy as the Lincoln one, which was nice. We stayed here until the sun started setting and it was really beautiful.
