My youngest son is a huge Thomas the Train fan. Any new accessory that comes out he has to have it. For his third birthday he receive the Sodor Engine Wash Motorized Road and Rail Accessory. He can attach the Engine Wash to any Tomy rail or road set. Our son attached it to his blue Thomas the Train rail tracks. The Engine Wash does not require batteries. When one of the engines needs to be "washed" he flips the stop lever as the engine approaches the wash. He then can either select the auto or manual mode. In auto mode, the Engine Wash is powered by the engine. In manual mode, our son controls the brushes and "water" spray with the turn of a knob. The spinning brushes keep the engines clean. The Sodor Engine Wash is a great accessory to any train track.
