Thorlo WMX Walking Unisex mini-crew sock
By mrsboz onFirst of all let me say that I LOVE to walk.When you walk/exercise frequently you definitely need a good sneaker and good socks.A couple of years ago I was on the treadmill at my gym telling someone next to me how bad my feet were hurting.I was concerned because we were also headed to Disney and I didnt' want to have to worry abut my feet.This girl was an avid runner so she knew just what to buy.She told me that I should buy Thorlo socks.She said that they are expensive but that they definitely do the trick.I bought them and fell in love.No more $2.99 socks for me.Once you wear these socks you won't want to wear anything else.They fit like a glove, no bunchy areas, not too big not too small and they last forever.I kept right along buying them.Well, the last group that I bought, I usually will buy seven at a time and rotate them so that they will last, were terrible.How disappointed I was.I bought some running socks adn some walking socks.now remember that they are $10.99 a pair.You don't mind paying the price if they are going to work and are going to last.Well, every pair but one have a hole in the toe.They also, from the get go didnt' fit well.They were bunchy.I am so disappointed because my favorite socks no longer do the trick.I wouldnt' recommend these socks for anyone.Not even for $2.99.
I have a hard time paying 2.99 for socks but if I shelled out 11 dollars a pair and they got holes in the toes that fast, I would be on the phone with someone working on a refund.
Thorlos are usually good, but I find them too hot. Sorry you had a bad experience. Yeah, I think I'd complain too about this batch.
Expensive socks. Wonder why they fell apart for that price. They should have lasted for that price.
Thats terrible that they changed them. Probably tried to find a way to make them cheaper but charge the same. That is a huge price for socks but if they help, it is worth it. I know that I always had problems with socks when I would exercise. Thanks for letting us know about these and that they are not worth the price now.

I agree, good socks are just as important as good walking shoes. We walked nearly 6 months straight at our park before my back went out..boy do I miss it! I hate when a company changes the quality of their products.
Too bad! I wonder if a new company bought them out?
Do these have some type of guarantee? I would think a sock that costs that much would. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to contact the company for a replacement. I'm sorry your favorite socks disappointed you.
I totally understand what you're saying about not minding paying extra money for quality socks & unfortunately, it sounds like these were not quality socks. I hope you ended up finding the perfect walking socks!
Nice! Not a bad price for socks that help your feet so much. I have never heard of these but will be on the lookout for them now. Thanks for sharing!
