Three Cheers For Advil! By song_of_serenity on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I'll get personal. I'm one of those girls that have been "cursed" by the rage "Aunt Flo" brings when she shows her ugly mug every month. You name it, I've got it. Pain, bloating, nausea. I needed something to CURB it! The hospital gave me 800 mg of ibuprofen pain reliever. My uterus LAUGHED at it. Tried Pamprin, a pain reliever made especially for menstrual issues. I got an upset stomach and swore I had an ulcer. I decided to just use what I use when I have migraines...advil.

Yes. Advil. Little coated with red advil. This little pill has been so effective to me. Weather it is a headache, a toothache, and the HORRIBLE "curse" of aunt Flo, it has never let me down. And strangely enough, two of these teeny pills keep the pain at bay, more than one 800 mg of elephant sized ibuprofen ever did! No. No, it didn't make the bloat go away. But the last thing I want to do is wear tight jeans when I'm on my cycle! But the pain. Oh, the pain is GONE! I care more about that than looking cutre, to be honest. :/

So, if your stomach isn't sensetive to such medications, with your doctor's approval, give advil a try. Yes, ladies, even for that "time of the month" You may be surprised. Take it two days before your approaching cycle and Aunt Flo may actually surprise you when you go in the living room and she is already there!
