Ti 89 Ti 89 Review By digbybare on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have owned this calculator for about 4 years now. First of all, I'm impressed at the battery life. I've only changed the battery 2 or 3 times in that period. Granted, I haven't used it as much these last few years, that still averages to about a year or so per change of batteries, at moderate usage.

The range of features on this calculator is amazing. I simply can't imagine needing to do something that this calculator cannot do. If I ever do encounter something like that though, the calculator is very expandable, as you can write your own programs. For a high school or college student, this should be more than enough features. Also, it's rather easy to load it up with games for the more boring lectures you may have =).

Physically, it's pretty standard. It's not too huge or heavy, but it would be nice if it was a bit smaller. However, the screen and keys are pretty cramped as is, so I can't really complain.
