Tiger Balm By Megan8607 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I've been having shoulder pain for about a month now. The pain is inbetween my shoulders, where I cannot reach. I bought some Tiger Balm at the recommendation of one of my friends. I was shocked at how expensive it was, but vowed to try it. The smell is much less offensive than that of other pain relief creams, and has a different consistency. I like the consistency much better in Tiger Balm, it's almost like a chapstick consistency. I rubbed it on, and within minutes a warming sensation tingled where I put the balm on. I couldn't believe the relief, which lasted for hours. I understand now why it is so expensive, as a little goes A LONG way. I definitely will buy this again.

I was attracted by the name Tiger Balm. I remember the time when I used a tiger balm, probably menufactured in Burma (Now Myanmar) and it was very chip. The one I am talking about is a small container like the size of a coat button. The balm inside are very strong in action and I had applied it for many a times to get relieve from muscle pains. But, the one you are discussing is really a different and sounds much comfortable. Not as irritative as the one I used.
