Tigris Euphrates Board Game By cybeeb on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Over in Germany board games are as popular as video games are here. They create unique and fun board games. One man in particular Reiner Knizia creates the games that consistently win awards. This is considered his best game ever. This game is definitely harder to learn than most. I was so lost the first 10 times I played it. But after you catch on you will enjoy it. In this game you are building civilizations in Mesopotamia. you have farmers, priests, kings and traders. They are all identified by different colors. The board is set up the same every time with temples with a treasure on it. You start off with six tiles and always draw enough tiles at the end of your turn to have six again. When you lay a tile the leader of that color gets a victory point. You try to get into other temples and when there are two leaders in the same area you fight with red tiles. Basically at the end of the game you count the color that you have the least of and whoever has the most wins. This game takes a while to learn but in the end it is worth it.
