Tin Whistle - Fun for everyone
By Munky onBeing an avid lover of music espically of the irish tradition I took it upon myslef to try and learn the tin whistle. So I ventured down to my local music shop and picked up a stardard C key whistle. At first I was a bit hesitant to try and learn due to my lack of experience but after a few short hours it was with udder joy that I was able to play a couple songs.
Seeing the instrument has only 6 note holes it doesn't take much dexterity in order to pick it up quickly. Also you can change the pitch of the note by blowing a little harder into the whistle. With the help of a traditional music book I was playing songs in no time. For the cheap price of 12.00 you get an insturment in which can play many different genres of music. Even if you have a hard time learning songs, for the sake of 12 dollars it is well worth the money just to try.

We are getting to know someone who plays these whistles. I had no idea that the come in all sizes and keys. It's been very interesting.
