After having great success with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, I decided to take a gamble and order Mercier's Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer to give my face a more glamorous presentation.

“Illuminating” can mean many things to the dubious cosmetic purchaser, not all of them good. For example, it might be associated with the “glittery” look for a night out on the town, which was a no-go for me. I just wanted something that I could apply before a more formal office environment during the day or a black-tie affair in the evening. Laura Mercier Illuminating Moisturizer fit that bill perfectly. It adds just the right amount of pearly sheen to my face while retaining the fresh, dewy quality of the original Tinted Moisturizer. Some might apply this product on specific parts of the face for emphasis -- for example, I dab it on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose -- or it can be used for full coverage. It all depends on the look you wish to achieve!

Choosing the right tint was a no-brainer. Laura Mercier Illuminating Moisturizer is offered in only four hues to cover all complexions: Bare Radiance (fair), Natural (medium), Warm (medium with pink undertones), and Golden (medium-dark). But because I wanted to ensure that I got the right tint, I called Laura Mercier's customer service and double-checked that I purchased the right one for my particular skin tone. And like the original Tinted Moisturizer, a little goes a very long way.
