I tried this vacuum the first time in my mothers house when she purchased it. It is GREAT at picking up garbage. It does make as much noise as other vacuums. The weight of this vaccum also is not that bad. I remember that the day i passed vacuum at my mothers house i was dreading carrying up the stairs to vacuum the rest of the house but to my surprise it was very light. I was able to carry it up the stairs using only one hand. I really that it has a lot of different atttachments. One part that is hard to clean in a house are the corners and underneath the beds, couches, etc. but withthe attachements that this vacuum brings it was fairly easy. no hassle whatsoever. I do remember one day going to my mothers house when she had to do the yearly maintenance. It was such a pain. You have to take apart the whole vaccum clean and them put back together. that is such a tedious job. I would hate to be the person that has to do it.
