If you have a Tivo and a wireless broadband connection then you must purchase a Tivo wireless network adapter. I have great affection for my Tivo and my wireless network adapter made me love this DVR that much more.
With a wireless network adapter Tivo can now update and download new program information via your home computer rather than having to use your telephone line. Also if you purchase Tivotogo (an additional one time fee of $20.00) you can transfer your programs from your Tivo to your PC desktop and then burn them to DVD or convert the files for your Ipod or other multi-media system.
I love that I am able to download my children's favorite shows and burn them to DVD for them. When my husband is deployed I record his favorite shows and burn them to DVD so that he doesnt miss them while he is busy defending our country.
While I find the wireless adapter very easy to use the time it takes to transfer a program to your home computer is extremely long. For example I transferred an episode of Heroes the other day. Heroes is 1 hour long, the transfer time was stated to be 1 hr and 30 minutes when in reality it took closer to 3 hours.

This sounds like a pretty handy device. Hopefully with updates the transfer rate will go down to at least real time!
