Skype is a constantly growing computerized communications software program. You can connect to your friends or family through this simple program, and talk to them through text, voice, or video. The best thing about this program is that it is multi-plaformed, meaning it can be used on any operating system out there (Windows, Mac, Linux). I have used other programs like this before, such as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo. I used TS and Ventrilo for gaming when I would connect with my gaming buddies, but others used it as just a way to connect. TeamSpeak often had horrible sound quality and would give nasty feedback. Ventrilo was great for a time, but started to get on my nerves with all the non user-friendly interfaces. I looked around for new software, and happened across Skype. I gave it a try and when I first saw the interface load up, I was impressed. Everything was clean cut and looked very attractive. I called up my friend and asked that he download it too. Skype to Skype calls are free, so we called each other up and were amazed at the sound quality it had. The Skype software can be used as a way to call phone lines as well, but it costs money to put credits in. Many gamers swear by Ventrilo or TS, but I have converted a lot of my gamer buds into using this and they all say the same... SKYPE IS BETTER! Please remember this is my personally opinion and review on the product, and my overall review is to just download it yourself and try it out. You may like it, you may not, but I am convinced you will see the difference.
