Tom's Of Maine Natural Toothpaste For Children By amberloveseric on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Once my daughter moved on from the fluoride-free infant toothpaste, I had a hard time finding one that didn't cause a reaction on her mouth. Her pediatrician finally suggested I try a "natural" children's toothpaste and that is when I found Tom's of Maine. I have been very pleased with it. My daughter loves the "silly strawberry" flavor and the colorful packaging. She doesn't miss her favorite characters, like on the other children's toothpastes out there. The only real downside I see is that the cap is sometimes a bit hard for her to get open on her own. And for an independent child, it can be discouraging for her to have to ask for help. But once the cap is open, she can easily and happily brush her own teeth with this great natural toothpaste.

I have seen this brand quite often but am yet to try it. Sounds like I may need to ,especially with my youngest son ;)

I would have liked to have tried this toothpaste for my daughter, but my husband is a stickler for the ADA seal. Wondering if it is on there? Last time I checked, Tom's of Maine didn't have the seal, but admit I haven't looked for some time.

I will keep this in mind for when my daughter is ready for "big girl" toothpaste! I like that it is natural.
