TomTom One 3rd Edition
By Hedy onWhen GPS shopping, I examined the TomTom one, 3rd edition .I liked the fact that it speaks clearly, even if it doesnt have text-to-speech.It seemed easy enough to port from one car to another. However, its input screen seemed less responsive than its competitors, and it uses TeleAtlas maps, rather than Naveq.I thought that as maps are an integral component of GPS systems, I would be better off with a different system. It was easy enough to map a route from where I was to my house-and easy to see it played out.The display was clear and big enough to be seen driving easily-which was important to me. It had the ability to give directions to a walker, which interested me.Despite these flaws, it appeared to be a fully functional GPS at a great pricepoint.

Never hard of this brand. Good info though.
