Tom Tom One Gps, Is It Great? You Betcha'! By Lorrie on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
O.K. I admit it. I am a little bit directionally challenged. When I bought my new car in May it did NOT have one of those fancy North, South, East, West thingies built in. The truck I traded in had one, so I could sort of find my way around. Not so after I got my new car. After planning a trip to Kansas City, Kansas in November, I told my husband it would be great if I had a GPS for the trip, as I was driving alone. He said sure! After researching several different kinds on the internet, ( I research everything and then typically buy what I want anyway!) I found that the best GPS for the money and for what I needed it for was the TomTom One. I LOVE this thing! Not only does it tell me how to get from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to set it up. It comes ready to program straight from the box. It has a touch screen and after you hook it up to your computer and install the software (easy!), you can add all kind of cool, but useless, features! For example, right now SpongeBob is telling me where to go! My 7 year old loves it. You can charge it on your computer or use the included car charger. You can tell it where your home is, and when you're ready to come home, just press navigate home. I don't know how I managed before I bought my TomTom. I even have my husband use it for long trips. He agrees that it is very accurate. So, if you need a reliable GPS without too many bells and whistles at an affordable price, consider the TomTom One!! You'll be glad you did.
