Tonka, Really?
By Rodney Ray onMy six year old picked this toy out himself, he had looked at it a week before and talked about it the whole next week. After he got the Tonka WheelPals Triple Track Tower home we found it very easy to assemble but you could also see very easily that my son was very disappointed with the toy. He said" it just rolls down the hill,Dad ", I later found out through talking to him that it was his impression from the box that the main support of the track was to act as an automatic elevator to bring the cars back up - An easy enough mistake for a six year old I guess. I took time to examine the parts a little more carefully after he had went to sleep. I was sort of disappointed to by the quality of this so called, Tonka product. He has since discarded the cars and uses the track to play with other cars and marbles now. I personally would not recommend this toy to anyone. In my opinion only a child too young for it would enjoy it.

That's sad when a kid is disapointed by a toy. :-( Thanks for the info!
Sorry the toy was a disappointment. Thanks for the warning though
I know where you are coming from. I have a whole toy box filled with toys that my son has begged for that never lived up to his expectations. Sorry it did not work out for you.
Sounds disappointing! Sometimes name brands just don't have the expectations they should.
Sorry to hear he was disappointed. We have a lot of toys like that around our house too.
I really hate the pictures that they put on these toy products. Kids are really swayed by them and think the toy is going to do so much. I'm sorry that he was so disappointed.
That is too bad it was not all it was cracked up to be. Nothing is worse than getting a new toy that wasn't what you expected.
Awww so sorry it was disappointing to your son. That must have really been a let down. Too bad you couldn't use it as it was meant to be used. I think it's great that you found an alternative way to make it a great toy. Marbles are always fun to roll around on a track!
I think the issue is sort of generic in this class of toys. I recall my boys having the same disappointment over a Hot Wheels set that implied it did things that weren't true. I taught them to really be careful with their wants., Plus they had to earn them, which made them much more selective in what they did buy.
Aww, poor kid. I'm sure that was so disappointing to him. I hate when it seems like companies try to trick kids with toy pictures and advertisements.
