Tooth Tunes has found a unique way to help kids brush their teeth. They have gone beyond simply getting the toothbrush in the mouth, however, and help kids to monitor pressure on teeth, and total brushing time.

The Tooth Tunes toothbrush works by playing music while kids are brushing. In order for the music to be at a volume that can be easily heard, the brusher must be using an appropriate amount of pressure. If the pressure is to light or hard, the music will play in "quiet mode" which is difficult to hear.

To help kids with brushing for a long enough period of time, the toothbrush plays for two minutes, encouraging children to brush all surfaces thoroughly.

There are a few drawback to this toothbrush. The bristle head does not oscillate, and it is not replaceable.Battery life for the toothbrushes is about a month and a half, with twice a day brushing.

In spite of the lack of an oscillating toothbrush head, the other skills that this toothbrush teaches make it worth the steep price.

I don't know if I would pay this much... Maybe just have a toothbrushing tune on the MP3 player and get a regular toothbrush!

It was a gift, and when strep throat rendered it too germy for reuse, we did replace with a regular old tuneless toothbrush. Cute idea, though!

These are cool brushes, but don't waste the money if you have irresponsible kids, like I do. They lasted three days.
