What can I say...Top Gun is a CLASSIC!From the opening notes of "Dangerzone" you know you are in for a good time.I love Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer, I mean, Maverick and Ice, in this moive.This movie puts you right in the pilots seat of a few seriously fast jets, and the visuals are stunning.Tom Cruise is on par, isn't it funny, thinking back to when everyone loved him, instead of now when you mention Tom Cruise and immediately everyone thinks "kooky?" One of the reasons that I am such a fan of Top Gun is that, even though it is over 20 years old, it is still so culturally relevant.It has pretty much reached icon status.One of my co-workers has two dogs, one named Maverick and one named Goose! Speaking of those two, this movie follows Maverick gets in to the Navy's air force elite training school "Top Gun" (yes, that's where the name comes from) and has to fight his way to be the Navy's best pilot while dealing with his fathers death doing the same thing years ago.Did I mention the girl?Of course there is a love interest, Charlie, and a classic scene (You've lost that loving feeling.....).If you haven't seen Top Gun, get out from under the rock you've been living underneath and check it out tonight.
