I run a pet rat rescue, so you can imagine all the water bottles we have, have gotten donated, etc.

I wish I could afford to fill the rescue with these bottles only!

First off, they're glass (some small animals should NOT use glass bottles, by the way, so check before deciding!), which made me weary at first but eager to try. I love it. They're not too heavy, they are so much more durable than the plastic (can't be chewed!), and they seem to work better than any other bottle. We've had no problem with the spouts... No dripping at all.

I know you're wondering - What if they're dropped? I can't tell you, that's not happened. However, given the EXTREME price drop at Amazon - I'd probably buy an extra, just in case. That said, the glass is VERY thick and I would think it would stand up to at least short drops.

What I love the most about this water bottle is how it attaches to the cage. It won't work well on cages with ferret-spacing, but for cages with smaller "square" spacing, it's perfect. It's a spring, and it stays snug to the bottle. Love it!

They are dishwasher safe, too!
