Tornadoes In A Soda Bottle!!!! By Geralyn Hydock on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My youngest son has always been fascinated by science. Many a time, he had some sort of science experiment going on in either my kitchen or in the basement. His curiosity continues today and he intendss on becoming a weatherman and storm chaser. I bought this set for him as a birthday gift and he was just thrilled. The kit lets one be as imaginative as one wants to be and it is quite fascinating to see all the experiments in progress. He has had a great time conducting many experiments with this kit.

One can do many things with this kit. Amongst them are: shaping magnetic fields, constructing a magna doodle, bending water, creating real lightning sparks, making cereal jump, learning about the water cycle, forming clouds in a jar, creating a tornadoe in a bottle (one of his favorites,) and much more. This kit received the Best Educational Parent's Choice Award. It is no wonder as my son has spent many an hour creating and exploring with this product. I highly recommend it to parents who have children who are fascinated with science.

This sounds like a wonderful educational toy. It would hold a child's interest for a very long time.

I have heard about this! This too would be great for the child who doesn't like science but once they played with this toy, they might discover that they really do like science!! I hope you son achieves his dream of being a weathercaster!!

My son loves science too:0) We have that thing that makes a tornado in a bottle that we purchased by itself...I think the easter bunny brought it last year:0) It really is interesting stuff! I'll have to check out this kit for him...the price is pretty good too!

I agree. This does seem like a great educational toy. I love doing science projects myself. I'm not sure how young your son is, but I may can give you a few names of someone associate with meteorology in your area if you would like to have it. That may can help him. I work in emergency response/storm management.
