Toshiba 250 Gb External Hard Drive Hddr250 E03 X By Cian Cooke on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Toshiba 250gb Portable External Hard Drive has has a number of mixed reviews, some saying it is reliable and great, others disappointed because it broke. Personally I have found nothing wrong with it. It is still working even after a month of being transported place to place. However, there have been odd reports that this device brakes for no apparent reason.

The external hard drive comes from a reliable brand, Toshiba, and is compatible with Mac computers as well as Windows. It can be formatted from Fat-32 to NTFS. It has a stylish design, as you can see, and is very lightweight. It runs completely from the USB, not external power sources, and the cable is only about 6 inches. I have read that many people have bought new cables for it for comfortable use, The product itself measurements are 0.65"(H) x 3.2"(W) x 5.0"(D). it claims to have USB 2.0, which explains for the fast read and write speed.

I have yet to find fault in this device and think it is very reliable.

Certainly looks great - I'll have to check into this as I'm on the prowl for a nice portable external...thanks for the info.

Everyone needs an external hard drive, 250GB seems a bit excessive though. Very cheap for what you get though.
