Toshiba Satellite By rombolio on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased my Toshiba Satellite Laptop at our local Ciruit City. While the laptop does what it needs, it seems to really lack on battery life. I can get anywhere from fifty minutes to, at most, an hour and a half out the battery before I need to recharge or swtich to AC power. The other disappointing part of the battery is that there is not a replacement battery with more cells or more mAh available. The price was realatively low for a laptop, as it was on sale for $699. I do like the wide 15" screen and the resolution is fairly decent. Some of the manufacturer installed software (Toshiba's software and McAfee) can be very annoying and Toshiba's software can actually mess with the wireless capablities of Windows Vista. The slider switch that turns off the wireless card is an ingenious idea to help prevent data theft. Overall, for the price it is a good laptop capable of handling what I need it for.
