I did research before deciding on a lap top when I started back to school. I didn't need anything super fancy , yet I wanted something that would support my school work. I chose this laptop mainly because of the great price, but I also knew that it was plenty substantial enough for what I needed from it. It has not disapointed me in the respect that I didn't pay a whole lot and it is efficient enough. Some things that I don't like are that it is kinda slow to start up at first, and sometimes when you have to many windows open it seems to load a bit slower. Windows Vista is the operating software and I will say I have grwn to like it. I know may would disagree but I don't mind it at all. Overall I would say if your not a huge computer person and don't do a ton of fancy stuff it is a good buy!
