Tough Cookie By Diane Mott Davidson By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is another witty book in the culinary mystery series written by Diane Mott Davidson.

Goldy Schulz has to put her catering business on temporary hold while she takes care of a drain problem. So she also takes advantage of a cooking assignment for PBS to help her diminishing finances. Because of Christmas approaching, Goldy really needs some cash, so she plans on selling some skis to a local art critic, Doug Portman. But it doesn't help Goldy's reputation when Doug dies in a skiing accident and she is close at hand. The police suspect her, and other incidents arise which make life very interesting for Goldy. She even has a brush with death herself. What is going on?

Tough Cookie is another one of Diane Mott Davidson's lighthearted murder mysteries. I enjoy her culinary collection of books very much and make an effort to read each new one that comes out. Goldy is fun to read about, and she always seems to find trouble without any effort.

I enjoyed Tough Cookie, which was book number nine in this collection.
