Tower Heater Keeps Room Toasty Warm By JPnMO on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Are you cold? You don't have to be. When the cold weather hits, we start using our Lasko Tower Heater. This is the 3rd winter that we've used it and we love it.

This fan is a 1500 watt ceramic heater that oscillates, so the heat is well distributed. It's tall, so the heat hits more of our bodies instead of just our feet. It features a push button digital display where you can pick the temperature you want and see what the room temperature is. It has 2 speeds, is programmable with an 8 hour timer and has automatic shut-off if or when it's knocked over. Our overzealous puppy has proven to us repeatedly that the shut-off feature works well.

There is a comfortable carrying handle and the fan is lightweight and easy to lift. A digital remote control came with it, which is handy when we're too darn lazy to get up and turn it off ourselves, adjust the temperature or turn on/off the oscillating feature.

We have a wood stove that we use most years, but due to a faulty chimney, it was not used this winter. The fan has been more than enough to help warm the room without having to heat the whole house.
