Toy Story Toy Box to infinity and beyond

We bought the Buzz Lightyear under the bed toy storage box after we saw it on Disneyshopping.com. We needed something to store the toys my son played with everyday so he did not have to put them in our big toy box where they got lost in the sea of other toys. His room has a Buzz Lightyear theme to it so this seemed like the perfect choice.
They box was actually larger than I expected it to be and holds a large amount of toys. It has 2 parts, the bottom where the toys go and the top which fits on but does not lock or snap into place so there is no problem with little fingers getting pinched or a struggle to get the top off. It is made of a strong, heavy plastic so it can take some abuse. It is shaped like a vehicle and has wheels on the bottom which actually roll so it's it fun to drive around the room and is easily moved by even a small child.
The problem with the box is that it was advertised as an under the bed storage box and it is too tall to fit under a bed. I could be wrong but I do not think my son's bed is unusually low to the ground as it is a standard twin bed frame but I have illustrated in one of my pictures how far the box actually goes before it gets stuck.
Luckily since the room was in a Buzz theme anyway, the box does not look out of place at the foot of his bed rather than under it. He has used it for several years now and it has served us well. He enjoys not only being able to get at his favorite toys quickly but he also drives the box around the room and plays with it like a toy too.
Maybe it is meant to go under the beds with the high profile frame (not sure if that's what you call it), but there are beds that do sit up higher. It does look like a very cute box though. Especially for the price.
This is an adorable toy box! I can't imagine a little boy not liking this:) It does look like a toy and really is nice enough to be at the end of the bed.
That toy box looks more like a toy than a box for toys! Very cool! Too bad it doesn't fit under the bed.
Strange that it doesn't slide under the bed frame. I think it's great that he uses it to store his toys and he can play with it too. Very cute for a boy's room.
Oh my gosh is this ever a neat toybox! I don't even know if I would put it under the bed-it needs to be seen!!
Very cute toy box! We have a princess themed one that is suppose to go under the bed but doesn't fit. Kind of defeats the purpose, huh?
That is the cutest toy storage box...and a great price! I might check out what other themes they come in, I think it's great even not under the bed!
I love the title! Too bad it won't go under the bed, but I agree with nspear, - it is too cute not to display. I think items like this makes it easier for kids to pick up their own toys because it is fun to put them in a cute box. Sure beats the laundry baskets I had as a kid! And of course, mine were always the ones that had been torn and couldn't be used by my mom anymore so they kind of were lopsided. ha. I miss those days.
I wish i was a kid again. Todays stuff is so cool. i would have loved it, sinc, of course, I love buzz. had he been around then...:)
We have something similar to this but it is Hot Wheels and my son stores all his hot wheels cars in it. Guess what? It won't fit under his bed also even though it says it is for under the bed!
