Toyota Solara By dc3886 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I have owned my Toyota Solara for about a year now and I absolutely love it. This vehicle has a 2.2 Liter I4 that gets up and goes. I usually get about 28 mpg on the highway. I really feel safe in this vehicle, which is surprising to me because its a two door vehicle. My last vehicle was a two door Ford that made me feel like if I was to get in an accident with it, it would smash like a tin can.
The interior of this car is very well put together. There are two cup holders in the center console. The back seat is large for a sports car. My Solara has wood grain accents that really look nice. The trunk is large and my back seats fold down so that I can store large items in my car. The factory sound system by JBL is awesome! My Solara came equipped with a CD player and cassette player which is nice because I use the cassette player to plug in an adapter and use my Ipod. The air conditioning and heat work great. My Solara is a 2000 and it is aging gracefully, with very little wear and tear. The paint job still looks glossy and brand new. I think Toyota must use a high quality paint because most cars around the coast where I live have problems with the paint oxidizing from the salt in the air from the ocean.
I really can't say a bad thing about this vehicle. I will cling to it for as long as I possibly can. I will definitely buy a Toyota again and I recommend them to all my friends. It truly is worth the extra money to buy a quality made product.

Nice car there, the gas mileage there is a real advantage when oil price keeps increasing these days.
I love Toyotas. They are responsive, fuel efficient and handle nimbly. For the money, nothing beats them. Your Solara is a good looking car!
I love Toyotas too (so why am I driving an awful Ford?!) -- this sounds like a great fun car. Nothing like having comfort and a little pick-up in your sporty little car!
This sounds like a very nice car. Thanks for sharing.
