My aunt is having a baby (my niece is a honeymoon baby!! how romantic:) and so as usual, I waited until the very last minute to get a gift for her. Searching around the web, I found the website ImagiPLAY and browsed around. Their cute graphics caught my eye and I found myself eyeing the Noah's Ark Play Set. Even though it was a little bit expensive, I thought it would be well worth it because of their Earth Friendly Pledge. I placed my order and waited.
It arrived on time and in perfect condition. As I opened up the package, I couldn't help but admire the hand-painted pieces and how smooth the wood was. It is definitely heirloom-quality and I was so glad I spent that $100 dollars. (well spent!) The amazing detail on the female and male pieces were definitely the highlights of the Arc.
However, what I loved most about my purchase was the company (ImagiPLAY)'s commitment to be earth friendly. Not only do the produce high quality products that are child-safe they also help children understand environmental responsibilites.

With the massive toy recalls that we have seen over the last couple of years its difficult for a parent to know which toy manufacturers are truly trustworthy. A business coach once explained to me that one measure of integrity was one’s ability to follow-through on their promises. And by exhibiting such integrity, trust will follow. Yet, can you imagine a business whose tagline commits themselves to integrity? That is what ImagiPLAY has done with their tagline “Toys with Integrity”. The ImagiPLAY home page contains a product recall link at the top center of their page. The recall was self imposed by ImagiPLAY based on one incident which did not lead to an injury. They apparently do not turn a blind eye to product safety concerns, but rather follow through on their commitment to quality and safety of toys. Having visited the ImagiPLAY home page and paying attention to its product recall link, I could not help but to be inspired and intrigued by a company who’s mantra focuses on integrity and whose actions support that mantra. If Barbera Aimes were to offer a business integrity workshop, there are many businesses who could truly benefit from her example.
