I have been using Tracfone for 2 years and its been pretty good. Its like any cell phone I would imagine. Its durability has been great. I usually have pretty good reception. But as with any cell phone there are places where you won't get a signal but thats seldom for me. I have the motorola and it has no camera or speaker phone type features. My last phone I could say a name and it would dial that person. Overall I like this phone. I might add for those who do not know Tracfone provides service with no contracts. You pay every 3 months or so for more time. Its about 19 dollars for 60 minutes. Price wise this phone would be expensive if you talk alot. This phone is for those who need a phone just for occasional use. If you are going to use it a lot it might be best and cheaper to go with a company who has plans.

These are perfect for those people who don't need a phone glued to their ear. Much more economical than a plan for infrequent calls.
I agree Tracfone is not a good option for teenage girls (lol) or people who need to talk a lot. I used Tracfone for about 2 years when my budget was really tight and I needed a cell phone incase of car troubles. I liked no plans and no contracts. Thier sevice area is about as good as any others and perhaps even a little better.
Sounds like a good emergency only phone, like when I've locked my keys in the car! No, don't do that any more since getting the new cars :) but great idea sounds just like a pay as you go phone. Thanks for the info
I agree that Tracfones are really good for occasional mobile phone users. Their coverage is good, the phones are inexpensive, and you a get by for less than $100 a year (including a reasonable number of minutes).
