Trail Lite Mattress By Arbxndl on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This mattress pad for camping is one of the lightest that I have used. I have been camping and hiking for as long as I can remember and this is the one mattress that I am able to use each time I camp.

I should mention that I had to make some accomodations with the mattress. When you combine the slippery nature of the sleeping bag with the slippery nature of the mattress you create a slip and slide in your tent! You have two options, find a less slippery sleepig bag or adhere some kind of rubber strips to the sleeping bag, or to the mattress pad. This will stop any slipping from happening and you should be able to have a good night sleep. If you don't want to attach anything to the bag, or to the mat - you could attach it to the bottom of the tent. Just something to make it a little less slippery.

It's a great value, and the color choice is wonderful, I love this product, and wll continue to use it despite the slipperyness, after all - it could be fun!

They make some now with a non-skid surface, but Thermarest and I have a long love affair. One concession to old hips. Truly a great product.
