Travel To Hollywood By Elvyra on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Hollywood is always a fun place to visit. I use to work there too. You can run into lots of filming and celebrity. I go there to tour the celebrity museums and the film studios. I also love the downtown shopping center in LA. It has everything that you're looking for.
Hollywood blvd or Sunset blvd. has great shops and museum on the strips. You can do alot of shopping plus eat really good too. You have to pay for parking space though. This is the worst part. There's no free parking in LA. This is very irritating. You can't stay for long. You can only be there for a short time because after that the meter start going up. This is what I don't like about LA.
Hollywood has the Kodak theater and the Chinese man theater as the site for tourists. They can take a great deal of photos here. They can see all the hands and foot prints of all the famous actors.

This part of California was interesting in that the cost of almost everything here was equal to what we pay here (in Canada) I felt right at home. I was continually asked if I was from there - as I worked with many US citizens for years I guess I didn't have the accent of my city any longer. We went to a great restaurant right down town and they were so artistic with their take away bags - ours was made into a swan and it was an excellent likeness. What saddened me was the number of homeless who spent the nights climbing over the gates to sleep at the location where celebs would walk to get their awards only a few weeks later. That amazed me that in a city so rich they seemed to have such a large number of homeless but I didn't see any sign of shelters. Odd. Thanks for the info
