Travis Tritt Down The Road I Go By Beth Benson on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Travis Tritt is a man of passion and a non-stop train when it comes to his love for his music. Travis has done it again. "Down the Road I Go" is chalk full of heartwarming, heart-felt, and rocking country hits. This album has 11 songs:
1. Down the Road I Go
2. Livin' On Borrowed Time
3. Best Of Intentions
4. It's A Great Day To Be Alive
5. Love Of A Woman
6. Never Get Away From Me
7. Modern Day Bonnie And Clyde
8. I Wish I Was Wrong
9. If The Fall Don't Kill You
10. Just Too Tired To Fight It
11. Southbound Train
Each of the above songs speak truth to everyone; it doesn't matter if you are white-collar or blue-collar, sick or healthy, rich or poor. Travis has a way of lifting everyone's spirits and helping them to look at the good in a bad situation. Many of the songs portray a tough rocky-like tone, but really have a tender touch to them and is truly a meaningful collection of genuine talent.
Through this album, like his others, he always shows special tribute to those who have influenced him throughout the years. "Down the Road I Go" features a song titled "Never Get Away From Me" that is written for legends Waylon Jennings and his wife Jessi Colter.
My favorite song from this album is "Livin' On Borrowed Time". This song tells a tale of the life of the average person and just how true the reality is of how living day to day can be so harsh.
I highly recommend this album, it will make you laugh, make you cry, and even boost your daily morale. I purchased this CD at FYE for $15.

I love Travis Tritt. I listen to rock mostly, but was raised on country, so the era that hooked me was songs T-R-O-U-B-L-E, and heres a quarter. I need to get a hold of one of these new cds.
