Treasure Planet By Tifffany By Tifffany on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Treasure Planet is an animated tale that brings Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel Treasure Island into the 21st century. This tells the story of a kid named Jim, who finds a map to a legendary planet full of treasure, put there by pirates. He pulls together a crew of nefarious characters and sets out to find the planet and treasure, only to find himself mutinied against and lost on a different planet altogether.

I think this is a really fun and cute movie! It speaks to friendship and trust, as Jim makes fast friends with the cook on the ship, who then plans to double cross him. Also, there is an adorable character named Morph, who is a pink blob that can turn (morph) into many different shapes. He is adorable and I wish really existed as pets! The movie also features some music from the Goo Goo Dolls (and the movie was featured in the music video). Special features include this Goo Goo Dolls music video. I found this movie to be highly entertaining and adorable. I haven't read the novel, so I can't speak to how closely it resembles the movie.
