Treasure Planet on DVD is a very fun, animated movie that is a rough adaptation of Robert Lewis Stephenson's novel Treasure Island. In this adaptiation, it takes place in the future where the new pirates are in space, instead of on the open seas, and other pirates bury their treasures on far off planets. I really enjoyed this movie, and the way that it stuck to the original story, but made it a bit more futuristic as well. I like pirate movies, and I also enjoy science fiction, so this movie was a dream come true for me. The disk also includes several special features, including making of documentaries, story boards and other features including a music video of Johnny Reznic (the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls) song "I'm still here." The movie is animated, and rated G, so it is safe for all ages, and I feel that is just as fun for adults as it is for kids.
