Treat Yourself Instead of Buying These Pie Weights

Take the money you would have spent on these pie weights and buy yourself some dessert instead!Instead pour some dried beans onto a scrap of foil placed on your unbaked pie crust.I bought these pie weights a year or so ago and have gone back to the beans.I was not impressed with this product at all.I saw no difference between using beans and these weights.The pie weights are very light, so lightweight that a few of them cracked or slightly crumbled after falling on the floor.True, these weights are washable but with beans that cost a few cents you can either reuse them or just throw them away without adding small little balls to the piles of dishes you'll have to wash.

I guess all in all, stick to the beans!
