If you haven't heard this record yet, stop what you are doing and go BUY IT NOW. You will not be sorry. This is a record you can listen to from start to finish and love all of it. This is the perfect album to have on hand for everyone to love. Lamontagne has a gravelly, emotive voice that makes you feel. For me, this is one of the best singers/songwriters to emerge in years. Gaining popularity mostly by word of mouth, his debut album is worth hearing. Saying no way to the wasteful. breakable, plastic cd cases, the product comes in a more environmentally friendly packaging, and the sound quality is wonderful. This album is long and beautiful, with enough different-sounding tracks to make you listen the whole way through. Lamontagne's music has roots with Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, yet a voice that is uniquely his own.
