Tuition fee installment plan with BPI
By Crissy Taruc onWe are very thankful for having BPI Express Credit Classic for almost a decade now. Our credit card accounts (husband and me) has a combined regular limit of 175,000 pesos and S.I.P. (Special Installment Plan) limit of 50,000 pesos.
Their BPI S.I.P. in Schools promo is really a big help to us during enrollment time. I usually take my kids cost of enrollment out of our SIP limit and processing is really great. I just need to fill up the Application Form, attach the schools assessment forms and visit the nearest BPI ExpressBanking Center to turn-over the documents for processing. Yesterday, since it is enrollment time once again I visited their center located inside a mall to process my application for my kids school fees. The processing is very simple and in no time at all I got the approval of my application and the money will be deposited to my BPI Savings Account within 3 banking days. My monthly amortization is 2,793.89 pesos for 12 months for my 2 kids tuition fees. Not bad isnt it? Really a big help to parents considering the high cost of education in private schools. Although private schools nowadays also offer installment plans for their tuition fees at least this kind of promo is still an additional help to parents like us.

I have BPI credit card as well and it is very good since the monthly fee is very low. My complaints? First, the bank does not allow you to access your statement online if you do not have any debit card with them. This is a little challenging especially if you want to pay your bills before the credit statement arrives since that's the only time you have. Also, I do not know if this really is the case but I have visited almost every BPI outlets here in Cebu and I cannot pay via the ATM, they do not have envelopes which you can utilize to pay your credit card bills during weekends. Weekends are the only time I can use to go to banks to pay whatever is needed to be paid so I had to utilize my vacation leaves just to go to a BPI bank to pay my credit card. Another thing is that, you cannot pay for your credit card bills through another bank. I have a Unionbank account and most of the time I pay my credit bills using that account via internet banking, guess what? Unionbank does not cater payments for BPI. When I asked their support if I can pay them using my other bank account rather than having to go the their bank, the support said they do not allow payments through other banks as of the moment. hmmm... It seems they do not want me to pay my BPI bills at all.
indeed hard for you but yes you're right.. BPI do not accommodate payments for other banks.. they only accommodate theirs.. no other banks..
