Because my husband and I are self-employed our taxes can be a little more complicated than normal. We have always had our accountant do our taxes every year at a cost of around $350. Unfortunately, he had a serious motorcycle accident last summer and has not returned to his job. We could have used his replacement, but I decided to see if I could use an online tax preparation service to do our taxes this year. I decided on Turbo Tax Home & Business online.
Turbo Tax made my tax preparation so easy! As I went along I was asked questions that determined what forms needed to be completed and then it filled in the correct areas with the numbers I provided. It couldn't have been easier! I didn't have to pay until I was finished and ready to review and print the return. That made it easy for me to see how the program worked and if I felt comfortable with it before I made the decision to buy it.
I was charged only $79.82 with tax! That is a savings of over $270 from what our accountant would have charged. I was able to E-file for free and had my refund direct deposited within 8 days!

I love turbo tax! My husband did our taxes this year using it. He said it was so easy and he had no experience doing taxes before. We got ours direct deposited too. It was great!! It's good to let people know about this product because it really does save you a ton of money. One company wanted to charge us $480 to do ours..we spent $45! =-)
I will definitely consider using this product next tax season.
Sorry to hear about your husbands accident, I hope is is OK. I have not shopped for tax software in years, we have been doing it online through one of the agencies. My hope is to be able to start my own at home business some day and I was not aware that turbo tax offered and home and business version of their software. This is great information to have, thanks.
I'm almost willing to give this sort of thing a try. I used to do ours, but now things have changed so much and we have so many forms we have to use because life is, well, complicated. So you've nudged me in the direction of considering this.
I love turbo tax. When I first got divorced I was scared silly to try it but I did. At first I thought it was too simple and I must of done something wrong. I didn't! Now I do mine, my kids and my mom & dads! Thanks
My late husband loved using TurboTax. He said it was both intuitive and very easy to understand. My sister in law uses it too and says she'd be lost without it!
Isn't Turbo Tax wonderful?! Our tax preparer uses it & hopefully we will be bold & use it for ourselves next year!! You saved so much money from preparing it yourselves!!
