We bought a 2 pack of the Holmes Portable Heaters last winter at Target. We turn our heat down in the house at night and in the mornings the bathrooms are really cold when we go to get dressed. We were looking for an easy way to warm them up a little until the central heat had a chance to catch up.

These heaters have a fan as well as high and low heat settings. Each one stands about 10 inches high and is about 7 inches wide. For their size, they give off a nice amount of heat. The one we placed in the master bath worked perfectly. The room heated up nicely without being too hot. In the kids bathroom, it did not work. Up there we have a Jack and Jill bathroom and even on low, the heat became too much in the small space and they got nothing in the other spaces so the kids decided it was best not to use it.

The heaters have a molded handle built in the back and a cord wrap in the base. They have an auto safety shut off that turns them off if they are knocked over to prevent fires. To reset it, you have to turn the unit off, unplug it and wait 10 minutes before plugging it back in.

When the second one did not work out in the kids bathroom, I took it to use in my room at night. I am one of those people that has to sleep with a fan on for the noise. I was using a floor model fan since our ceiling fan is too quiet. The Holmes fan has a nice small compact size and fits on a bookshelf we have so it's not on the floor taking up space like the other fan was. I leave it on the fan setting all night every night and have had no problems with it at all.

If you are looking for something to heat a small room like a bathroom, these heaters work fast and well. If you just need a little fan, they work for that too. Target gets these in stock every winter sometimes as one to a package and sometimes as a 2 pack like this was.
