Twice As Much Fun Model Kit By Pogo on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
My son LOVES to build models. Since he buys many of them with his own money, he will search and search for the best deal which explains how I know about Model Kit Value-Packs.
What Is A Model Kit Value Pack?
When you buy a model, it comes with all the pieces and the directions on how to put it together. Some of the kits also come with the glue, paint and decals. There are different skill levels with 1 being the easiest. Both the skill level and the contents will be listed on the box. A Model Kit Value-Pack is two or four of these models packaged together.
They are easy to locate: online or in many larger department, toy and hobby shops. The advantage of buying them is the price as they are cheaper than if you bought the models separately.
The AMT/ERTL models are in 1:25 scale and come in 3 skill levels ~
Skill 1 ~ for ages 8+ Skill 2 ~ for ages 10+ Skill 3 ~ for ages 12+
When kids first start out, they may need a lot of assistance and reminders to be patient if they want to get the model completed. It is really frustrating for kids to work hard at something and have it still not turn out. This can be easily solved by making first models joint projects with an adult. Later, they will be able to complete them on their own.

Your little guy sounds like he's going to be a super shopper when he gets to be an adult...great stuff. Thanks for the info. These sound really worth looking for.
These have improved and the skill is a plus for the buyer.
Model building is such a great educational experience for spatial relationships, patience, and coordination. Great that your son has found a good way to meet his skill level.
