Tying The Knot: Fun Organizer, Needs A Little More By marnm02 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I liked the look of this organizer. It looked to be geared toward the young, but still somewhat traditional bride, which is pretty much me in a nutshell.

I like the binder format of this book. I immediately opened it up and re-arranged it to my liking. The clear pink folders that fit into each section are nice too, because you can organize reciepts and documents by catergory.

The whole book is very simplistic and basic. It's nice not to have so much un-necessary extras, but I found that I needed to purchase several other books to get information I needed about etiquette, invitations, music, etc. This book does have a whole section devoted to "parties and events". I think it would have made more sense to not even have that section. Most brides don't throw their own engagement party, shower, or post-wedding brunch, so this really isn't of any use to them. I think replacing this with more information useful to a bride would have been a good idea. I will, however, keep those sections around for when I'm a bridesmaid.

The book has craft suggestions scattered throughout. There's some nice ideas, but, realistically, I don't know who would ever use them. The time and expense involved really don't seem worth it.

Also, the paper for most of the pages is just plain paper...like the exact same stuff I have sitting in my printer right now. Not very durable.

This is a decent value for the money...as long as you don't end up buying tons of other books to supplement the information you didn't get from this book...like I did.
