This UltraOptix Pop-Light Magnifier has a 2 inch by 2 inch retractable illuminated lens. It has 2X power. There are 2 AAA batteries that are included in this unit. The pop-up light is a wonderful feature because it illuminates objects for the viewer. This unit is ideal for magnifying books, maps, any small print, newspapers, legal documents and almost anything that has small detailed letters or print. This unit is particularly helpful for anyone who wears glasses or has poor eyesight. I, myself, have had to use this magnifier every time I had to look up a name in the telephone book. As we all know print in the telephone book is really quite small and difficult to see or read. Therefore, I find that I have to wear my glasses along with using this pop-up light magnifying unit to be able to see the writing fairly well. I have even found it nessessary to use this magnifier to get a splinter out of my finger. You will find that this unit can be useful for many other purposes. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs help reading any kind of small print or seeing any kind of small object more clearly. This is a separate unit and does not attach to eyeglasses.
