Understanding Management- A text book
By Chenault onI had to have this book for school, and since I spent such a pretty penny on the book I felt I should review it and also offer a bit of advice to anyone else who has to have this book for college.
Understanding Management by Daft and Marcic is an informative book focusing on management in the new work place. It is intended for students at a university level. As a business major this book is required for my Principals and Practice of Business Management 1 class.
I have learned quite a bit about management styles and corporate culture from this book so far, and I am glad I will be able to use it in the second part of this course next semester, however I could have got this book for less than $8 on amazon.com, however silly me... I waited until the last minute to purchase the book and needed it ASAP so I spent a fortune on a paperback book for my College book store!
Overall this is a very informative book that is not boring to read, it has focus on leadership sections that are very entertaining and focus on well known people such as David Bowie and Kenneth Chenault.

It always amazes me how the College and University campus book stores are almost always the most outrageously priced. A book my son had to purchase when he was attending was over $600 - for well over half that he could have nabbed it at the local bookstore ;) Glad it's a good book for your studies though - you'll want to frame it when you're finished with it ;) Thanks
