I got this pen initially because it stated that it was a gel pen that would protect against check fraud. Supposedly, people can "wash" checks to remove the writing and then make it out to whomever and for whatever amount they want. This particular pen is made so that this scenario would not be able to happen. The uniball pen is very smooth and I like that it is a click type pen. It's very easy to use and has lasted quite some time so far. It has a clip so that it can be slipped onto a notebook or shirt pocket. Also, there is a comfort grip that minimizes discomfort. It has not let me down yet. I do like the added security in knowing tha this pen can't be removed from my checks. It gives me a little more peace of mind.
