We go through a lot of cordless telephones at my house so I have had lots of experience with different brands. I have purchased the Uniden brand dual handset telephones twice now and it is the brand I will purchase again when the time comes. One of the features that I like best about the Uniden phones is their basic keypads on the phone. My husband insists on a phone that he can figure out the buttons as he is a somewhat technology challenged, lol, and the Uniden phones have what we needed: a large button that says TALK so he can figure out which button to push to answer it, and another button clearly marked END (a requirement for our cordless phones is either an OFF or END button). One of the things I wish were improved on the handsets are the display screen. It is gray until it rings or you look at teh caller id and it lights up a hideous LED green. There are so many other color options out there, an almost booger green that is used on these phones is not appealing. The phones have great range, I have brought them outside all throughout the front and back yard and never dropped a call. There is a choice of 4 ring tones, but none of them are too appealing. However, if you are looking for an affordable, simple, dual handet cordless telephone, Uniden is the brand!
