Unsolved Mysteries of American History is another intriguing collection of historical tales by Paul Aron. Some of the mysteries include: when did the first people arrive in America (was it Leif Ericsson?), where did Christopher Columbus land?, how did Cortez manage to conquer the Aztecs?, did Pocohantas really save John Smith?, was Daniel Boone a traitor?, Benedict Arnold - why?, was Meriwether Lewis murdered?, why did Truman drop the bomb?, who killed JFK? and many more pressing questions that remain unanswered.

Aron, presents the evidence for and against various explanations in a concise manner. This is a quick read, but very thought provoking. I highly recommend it to any history buff (probably more appropriate for educated lay persons than for true historians who might find it to be superficial). Not being an expert, I was quite entertained.
