US Bank, a great American bank for us!
By Demon_Buttercup onI've had my US Bank checking account for 8 years now.I have had accounts at other banks, but I choose US Bank for a few reasons.One was their availability of branch offices.They have a branch inside my local Byerly's that is open Saturday and Sunday and until 7pm weeknights.It is a full service branch and I love that it is open hours that are convenient to me in a location I am going to anyway.I have the free checking, there is no monthly fee or minimum balance.Online bacnking is available and free.One other perk I really used to like is if you have your paycheck automatically deposited, after a few months of this, they offer you paycheck advances, which comes in really handy for something unexpected.What I really liked about it is that you can do it all online, you don't have to go grovelin person.The only things I have been inhappy with at US Bank is that no matter what branch I go to, their drive thru banking is super super slow!There is usually only one teller working 2-3 lanes and a 15 minute wait is the norm.

I don't know what it is about the drive thru at banks anymore, they all seem to be so sloooow!
You had me sold after the open on Saturday and Sunday! I seriously wish banks around here were open on the weekend!

Convenient banking hours are SO important. I do almost everything by internet and ATM now, but I still like them to be open and handy when I do need a real person. Sounds like you found a bank that does all this.
Advances on your paycheck? Wow. That's an unusual extra feature. I think this is the first bank I've ever heard of that will do that.
