I have had U.S. Cellular cell phone service for about two years now. This company leaves a lot to be desired. U.S. Cellular is a bare bones cell phone company, they are not very technologically advanced. For example at the beginning of my contract I bought an expensive phone because I wanted the ability to take and send videos. I was told by the employee at the store that video messaging was available and that the phone I chose was a very good choice. While I have had no problems with my phone, I am very disappointed with U.S. Cellular due to the fact that they do not offer video messaging and it seems they do not plan to ever get it. Also I understand that the employee wanted to make a sale but now I am stuck with a phone that can hold my videos but does not have the ability to send them to anyone. I bought a data transfer program and cord so that I could transfer my videos to my computer but U.S. Cellular has blocked that feature on my phone. It is very important to buy a cord for your phone, the transfer rates for ring tones and games are a bit ridiculous and will eventually break the bank.
In my honest opinion U.S. Cellular has some upgrading to do and I will not be renewing my contract. I recommend you look at all of your options before choosing your cellular carrier and don't be too quick to jump into a contract because you may end up trapped like me.

You bring out a critical point when looking at cell phone plans dc, the contract. Read it and understand exactly what you get and what is NOT offered. Sales are important to most cell plan vendors-it is how they earn perf. bonuses, so relying on them isn't reliable. Do your homework, that way you won't get surprised by what does and doesn't work.
Sounds very familiar....sales person trying to make a sale..giving you false information. It's almost like you need to get everything on paper before you sign that contract. Those are hard to break because you get penalized. I hope you find something else that will give you all the features you want and need in a cell plan.
