When I purchased this cable I was sure 5 feet would be long enough to connect our 2 household computers with it. I was surprised that it just barely reached, so my first lesson is, always buy a cable longer than you think you need if you forgot to measure first, lol.
Besides the length, everything else about this cable is perfect! It is white, so it blends well with the floorboards. It works simply by plugging it into one port one compupter #1 and then into a port on computer #2 - instantly, both computers can access each other's files without the need for a transfering device.
This works especially well for us, as my daughter is only allowed to download music on her older computer, but she needs to use my newer computer to actually open her MP3 player software to get the songs on it. Before this cable, it took her a good hour to transfer all the songs with a memory stick, now she can get it all done in 10 minutes!
I'd recommened this cable to anyone who needs a quality, affordable USB cable to connect computers.

My daughter has the same problems with her mp3 palyers and our computer so we are looking for a newer one, thanks for the info on the cables, I will keep it in mind.
Sounds like it works great. I bet now you hear less complaints from Vi about how long it turns her music to transfer :)

I'm like you-I probably would not have measured to see what length cable to get (smile) so you're right-always best to buy more than you think you need!!!
